Randy's experience

My wife Sarah and I have been married for 35 years and have three daughters, two sons-in-law, and one granddaughter. I have recently retired from public education after 26 years. However, my commitment to education and community remains strong. I am now serving as the Director of Satellite Campuses for Ranken Technical College. 

As Chief Operations Officer for Columbia Public Schools,  I demonstrated executive leadership by overseeing  transportation, facility maintenance, construction, nutrition, custodial, and technology services for a district of 19,000 students and 3,000 employees. My strategic vision was pivotal in developing innovative programs like High School 2.0, a groundbreaking early college partnership with Moberly Area Community College.

As Director of Career and Technical Education at Columbia Public Schools, I provided operational and instructional leadership for a dynamic program serving high school students, practical arts students, and adult learners. My team's dedication to excellence garnered recognition, with the Columbia Area Career Center being awarded Career Center of the Year by the Southern Region Education Board.

My multifaceted career also includes starting a consulting company, Results Matter Leader Development, where I share my expertise through keynote speeches, professional development sessions, and coaching aspiring leaders in the business and education sectors.
